I'm Back!

Good morning,

I apologize that I have been absent for a while. COVID-19 made things difficult, but I am planning on posting much more often!

Since I have been gone, I did complete a Day of Coordination in the beautiful city of Jasper, Georgia. In December, I had the pleasure of coordinating Olivia and Jake's wedding. It was a thrilling experience! The venue was at Club Tamarack at the Bent Tree Golf Club. It was located on the side of a mountain and the view was incredible. I was accompanied by Simply Emily Lifestyle Photography that took the excellent photos that are attached to this post. The food was catered by the Tavern at Bent Tree, the gorgeous cakes were made by Jill Cakes and Bakes, and the flowers were brought by the Floral Hen.

I met the wedding party at the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, and they were so much fun to work with because they kept a great attitude and worked well together. This ensured that the ceremony would run smoothly. The night before, I sent out an email to confirm with all the vendors that they had received my schedule and vendor contact list so that there will be no issues on the wedding day.

The morning of the wedding day, I set up the ceremony and began setting up the reception. I went to visit the bride and complete any last minute tasks that she needed as well. The vendors arrived at the venue perfectly and there were no issues. Once everything was set up, I made sure to send many pictures to Olivia to show her what her vision looked like in reality, and to ensure that everything was perfect according to her vision.

Once the bridesmaids and groomsmen arrived, we had to get them organized and make sure everyone had their bouquets and boutonnieres. However, we came to find out that we were short two Jr. bridesmaid bouquets. I could not get in contact with the florist because she did not have service. I had to improvise and create two bouquets out of the remaining flowers we had from the centerpieces and cake decorations. Thankfully, it worked out and the bridesmaids were on their way. The ceremony was gorgeous and executed perfectly. The reception was next and the DJ was very helpful in ensuring that the night stayed on track. We had the cake cutting, the first dances, and food served on time. All of the guests danced throughout the night and had a great time. Towards the end of the night, the caterers brought out bacon and boiled peanuts for the guests to munch on after they worked up an appetite on the dance floor! I thought that was such a neat idea!

Overall, this was an incredible experience and I am blessed and honored to have had the opportunity to coordinate this gorgeous wedding! I am grateful to have met the other vendors and worked with them to create such a gorgeous and fun wedding. Congratulations Olivia and Jake!
